Health Insurance Assessment
We’re happy to help with a medical statement to support a claim to your health insurer. Note: this applies to German statutory health insurance; the chances of coverage are currently low, but it’s still worth pursuing. We’re happy to explain more!

Photo documentation isn’t just for your personal before-and-after — it also documents your entire progress throughout your surgeries with us.
Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis
The most precise way to analyze what your body is truly made of: the percentages of fat, muscle, bone, and fluid inside and outside your cells.
Ultrasound
We’re happy to check your legs for varicose veins and your abdomen for hernias. This is an important part of surgical preparation and helps rule out other conditions.
Sonography
It’s a common misconception that lipedema tissue itself can be seen on sonography or ultrasound. Instead, it’s used to measure your fat layers at defined body areas for before-and-after comparison.
Compression Garment Fitting
The most important companion on your journey with us: your custom-fitted flat-knit compression garment. You can be measured directly at our clinic by our specialist, Andrea Volkmann — because it all has to fit perfectly!
Lymphatic Drainage
Manual lymphatic drainage, specifically developed for lipedema, provides relief starting on the day of surgery, performed by our physiotherapist Naser. The former Charité expert redefines MLD and physiotherapy for lipedema, setting an entirely new standard!
Nutritional Counseling
We know what’s scientifically proven: diets don’t work. You’ll need your own individual nutrition plan — wholesome, anti-inflammatory, and calorie-adjusted. Our expert Nadine Guzy will help you build it!
Blood Draw
For every lipedema surgery, we need your standard blood values two weeks in advance. You’re welcome to come to our clinic for this at no additional cost. Your blood values tell us whether you’re optimally prepared for your upcoming surgery.
International Package
Airport transfer service and a hotel right next to the med-plast clinic! We offer our international patients special support, because an unfamiliar language and culture are already enough of a hurdle when heading into surgery!
